Seminar On-line The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City held a Research Seminar "Could Restrictions on Payday Lending Hurt Consumers?" on May 24. The program provided an opportunity to learn about new empirical evidence on the potential benefits and costs to consumers by restricting payday lending. The program included a keynote address by research author Kelly Edmiston and a panel discussion featuring Darrin Andersen, president of QC Holdings which offers short-term loans in over 550 branch locations nationally, and Josh Frank, senior researcher with the Center for Responsible Lending.
